Excellent care for your pet. I've been taking my dog to Lynn Animal Hospital for five years. Dr. Carman always provides honest and sound advice. The facility is clean. They also have a good traffic flow to minimize pet to pet contact, if you pet is overeager/afraid of other pets.

We have taken our beagles there for over 30 years and have always appreciated the great care amour dogs received. One of our not so healthy dogs thought of Lynn as his home away from home!

BEWARE! I had a darling pomeranian that i purchased from a breeder at age 6 1/2. dr. Carman was his vet for the next 6 1/2 year His name was Teddy Boo Bear and he looked just like a live teddy bear. This past May 2017 I took Teddy in to see Dr. Carman as he had developed a cough. He had just turned 13 and had recently had a wellness check, heart strong, blood work fine, running, playing and eating like a puppy Poms can live to be 16 and I had hope that he would after the good report - several months later he had a cough and I took him to Dr. Carman. The xray showed a 2 inch tumor near his lung - Dr. Carman said I could have him another year or two ant made an appt for me to come back in two weeks. He prescribed an antibiotic and told me he was prescribing a childrens cough medicine. He gave me a syringe and marked it with a magic marker at the 2 ml mark and said to give him a dose in the morning and one at night. He said it would not solve the problem but would help with the couch. Four days later, Teddy went dramatically downhill, and looked very sick. I called Dr, Carman that morning and every couple of hours, was told by staff he would call when he got time, but he did not call, I told staff how sick my dog was and could I bring him in, told no appt available call back next day I started called morning of fifth day and called five times, staff assured me Dr. Carman would call, I was crying saying was afraid I was losing him at 5 pm that night I received call from staff and said dr carman had no time to talk to me, to take my dog to critical care in bowie. After giving him his dose of medicine that night he became so distressed that I took him to Cats and Dogs in Bowie and was advised that he could not breathe and nothing could be done. He was euthanized. This is what I researched and found out Dr Carman prescribed a drug called HYDROCODONE-HOMATROPINE 5-1-5 SYRUP (NOT A CHILDRENS COUGH SYRUP instructions say do not give to children six years of age or younger The use of hydrocodone in children younger than six has lead to deadly breathing problems. By dog had no trouble breathing when he went to Dr. Carman but on the sixth day of being on this medicine he died because he could not breathe. He only weighed six lbs, the size of a small baby. I called Dr. Carman several days later and he still did not return my call. Two weeks later I called the office and was very aggressive and demanded Dr Carman call me. All he said was hey he was 13 and had a tumor and we prescribe this medicine for dogs all the time. I know this medicine killed my dog and there is no excuse for a patient of six 1/2 years in distress not getting a call back and not allowed to bring in my teddy that was like a child to me. When I reminded Dr Carman that he had told me he was prescribing a childrens cough medicine he denied saying that. I will never forgive myself for taking my beloved Teddy to Dr. Carman. BEWARE

Lynn animal hospital has been our vet since we moved here 13 years ago. Dr. Carman takes the time to explain what's going on, and go through options, costs, etc. He extended and improved the quality of our 17 year old cat's life (hyperthyroid, heart problems, and a painful blood clot) through attentive fine-tuning of meds, even finding a source for topical thyroid meds when the pills wouldn't go down anymore. And while it was expensive, upon his recommendation we had him remove 9 broken teeth (!) from our younger ex-feral when he first adopted us, with great results (eliminated bad breath and pain, much happier and more social cat). highly recommend.
