The purpose of this page to to provide insight to our community on what's happening with the Sheriff's Office. This does not take the place of regular reporting to the Sheriff's Office. Please call 9-1-1 for emergencies or 620-342-5545 for non-emergencies.

Mission

Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office to work with the citizens of Lyon County to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property and promote individual responsibility and community commitment.


Goals:
1)The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will provide professional Law Enforcement services, within the limits of the resources available.
2)The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will serve our citizens with integrity and compassion.
3)Employees of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Law Enforcement Officers Code of Ethics on and off duty.
4)Employees of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will be ever mindful of our responsibility to use our resources wisely.
