A very good selection with good prices and a fairly knowledgeable staff. I had a very good first experience there and fully intend to repeat business there next I'm in the area even if I don't need anything, I just want to support that location.

Went in to get a mixed case of wine for Thanksgiving. Received a friendly greeting on my way in, was offered a tasting on my way through the shop and was pleased to find a large selection of CT wines. After selecting 8 bottles on my own I took the offered help from a friendly staff member and let him lead me to a few more wines to round out my dozen.  Even on a very busy day, they were friendly and well stocked!

Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. They are always willing to help me with my beer and wine choices. They have a great sleection of wines, beers and hard liquor. The y are also a great choice for getting kegs or whatever you need for a party.

Always in stock of all my local favorite beers. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Events are always fun and engaging.

Just a big package store. Nothing special about prices. I prefer to support local stores vs chain stores, bc they are local instead of owned by some rich family in Farmington Valley. For what I buy, the prices are pretty much exactly the same as the smaller Mom & Pop stores, and if it's important to you, the coolers at ALL M&R stores are just not that cold.  

 I guess if you are a wine connesseur you'll find a bigger selection there, but if I want a particular item, the local store will also get it. One thing that is particularly bad at M&R is the location. Unless you want to pull a UTurn, you CAN'T get there if you happen to be heading east on Buckland. 

In summary, I believe it's always better to support local If u can. It just seems like the right thing to do.
