Story

MV Automotive first opened in Eagle Rock, California in 1989. After serving the Eagle Rock community for almost 17 years the buisness was relocated to East Los Angeles, where it has expanded in size and capabilities. We have just celebrated our 23rd Anniversary and look forward to continue serving your every automotive need!

I had to replace my starter on my Acura. Everywhere I went it was $400+ and would take all day. They got it done in 3 hrs at half the cost and threw in an oil change. Awesome service and ver knowledgeable.

"I highly recommend MV Automotive.

I live in the Bay Area and had driven my car down I-5 and through somewhere around Magic Mountain my car indication lights starting lighting up like a xmas tree.  My battery light was on as was my brake light.  I was beginning to worry because I had just replaced my battery 3 weeks earlier.  After making several calls, I pulled over in LA at a totally unknown exit and intersection for me.  My godfather was concerned that my battery was going to die on me and that I'd be stuck in the middle of stop and go traffic and he asked me to look for my battery to see how charged it was.  Unfortunately there was no indication on my battery.

However across the street there was MV Automotive.  Unsure of what type of service I would get, I took the chance and talked to the owner (Manuel) about the lights on my car.  I desribed how I just replaced my battery and how I suspected that it may  have been my alternator.  

Manuel was fantastic.  He tested my battery and then told me that it was way too low; below the minimum threshold of 13.5 volts/amps.  It was at 11.5. Yikes!!! Then he called around to his stores to see if they had the part to replace.

Meanwhile I was getting texts from my boyfriend who was telling me how much a replacement part should cost for my car.

Manuel quote me a price for my alternator exactly in the range of what my boyfriend was sending me. And then gave me a price for labor well in the range of what I expected.  He told me my car could take up to 2 hours to fix between getting the alternator part delivered and replaced.  My car was done in less than 75 minutes and Manuel and his assitant also showed me that my car battery was starting to recharge now that the alternator was replaced.

I feel so amazingly lucky to have wandered right in front of MV Automotive.  I could have easily been ripped off or taken for a ride by a sleezy tech.  Instead I truly found an "Angel" in Los Angeles.

My car made it all the way to Orange County and then back up to the Bay Area with no further problems.  Plus my alternator was guraranteed for 1 year with unlimited mileage.

Fantastic. And Highly Recommended!!!!! Plus Manuel has a BBB sign!!!"
