I am a regular customer at this ESSO Gas Bar / Mac's Milk. I Drive from Princess & Centenial because of the pleasant STAFF, the Gas price, Lottery Tickets & Newspapers. Tonight (March 9th, at 10:30PM , I filled up with gas ($ 40.00) and attempted to pay with a $ 100.00 ESSO GIFT CARD. I had a Globe & Mail and was told in a very abrupt manner that "ONLY GAS CAN BE PAID FOR WITH AN ESSO GIFT CARD" ! ! ! I politely pointed out that each and every time I fill up at that ESSO Gas Bar . . . . I use an ESSO GIFT CARD and there is never question of paying for everything with the ESSO GIFT CACARD. I scrounged for $ 1.25 or whatever and expressed my thought that I'd just have to be sure she wasn't on duty when I went there for gas, papers, etc. She then informed me that she had asked repeatedly to be shown how to "RING IN" gas and other things using an ESSO GIFT CARD she said SHE HAD BEEN WORKING THERE "FOR A YEAR AND MANAGEMENT REFUSED TO TEACH HER" . Quite an inconsistant story, & in front of other CUSTOMERS. I then got a lecture from her as she "SLAPPED" my 2 quarters into my outstreached palm. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE RUDE TO ME . . . I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE A CUSTOMER. Perhaps management should have a look at their "IN STATION" Security Camera Tapes to see what's being done to their excellent reputation - when they are not around !
