It was a fun and challenging hike. I did bring along my 63lb dog and I highly recommend if you bring your dog then you bring another person with you. There were two points along the trail going down a very steep rock face (or it could be going up depending which direction you start the loop) where I had to pass my dog of as my hiking partner got down and they had to catch my dog. The park says it is a 7.1 mile loop, out Fitbit said 7.93. It took us 3.5 hours to complete taking into account a total of 20 minutes of 3 five minutes snack and water breaks and 5 minutes in total of pictures. Will definitely do the trail again as I enjoyed the challenge. Also, if you have bad knees or ankles tape up or brace very well as the terrain is incredibly uneven.

Great picnic place.  Trails, a shelter many places to set up and enjoy the day!

As a camper, I would rate the campground as 3.5.  On the plus side, the park and campsites were well kept and clean, and the toilets were composting toilets. But on the down side, there is virtually no privacy as most (not all but most) of the campsites are completely exposed and often too close to one another.

Beautiful park where you can camp right along the brook. Be prepared for pit toilets and now showers.
