Mackinaw High School is the alternative high school for the Saginaw Township Community School District.
Our program is designed to be completed in 2 school years. No electives are required. Mackinaw accepts both in-district and out-of-district students between the ages of 15-19. Mackinaw does not enroll first year freshman.
If you are an out-of-district student you are eligible for transportion through the use of the STARS bus which drops students off and picks them up directly in front of the school. We pay for your bus passes as long as you attend all assigned classes.
If you are a Saginaw Township resident you are eligible to ride the Township school bus.
If you are interested in enrolling the first step is to visit Mackinaw's website and click on "registration procedure" tab. This will list the information we need to start the process.
The classes are Mackinaw are a mixture of self-paced and structured classes for students.
If you are behind on credits, need a smaller school setting or are looking for a fresh start we can help.
Students who complete all Mackinaw requirements earn a high school diploma.
Upon completion of all requirements, Mackinaw issues students high school diplomas from the Saginaw Township Community School District.
