We spin an American food mashup of Mexican, SE Asian, and Spanish. Also mixing up great margaritas. Join us for the MADDEST happy hour in Wynnewood, PA.

Story

Pull up a stool, join us at the Mad Mex in Wynnewood. We are Funky and not scared to put fun things together if they taste good. We make just about everything from scratch daily. Inspired by West Coast food: healthy, fun, local, experimental. And microbrews. We don’t use any lard but simple marinades of citrus and spices. We love Mexican food and big flavors, big plates, fire and sunshine, beer and tequila to wash it down. That is why we are Funky Fresh Cal-Mex!

This was my first time at Mad Mex & I must say I loved it. I went with my sister she has been here before so she knows what the food is like & atmosphere. Glad she suggested we go here. As soon as we sat down our waitress came over and she was such a sweetheart got us our drinks and gave us our menus. The crowd was cool the music was good & overall we had a great time. I will be back

The service is consistently terrible here. Tonight, we had to wait 10 minutes, street being seated, before the waiter (Brian) even came to our table to say hi and introduce himself. He took our order, then it took another 5 mins before or drinks were served. After being seated for a total of 33 minutes, our appetizers arrived. we had to ask for napkins and plates to eat our appetizers with. Literally less than 2 minutes later, our main entrees arrived. Then we had to call the waiter back to actually bring us silver ware........ They definitely need to work on their timing, and service. Never coming back to this location again. Only going to the university city location from here on. Their service is consistently better, and a much better atmosphere.

Finally sitting down for a meal and margarita with my fiance after having Grub Hub delivery a few times. The Chopper Salad did not disappoint and my fiance was pleased with his burrito. Will definately be back and will order again on grub hub. We would have given 4 and a half stars and not 5 ---only because it was a little too pricey in my book for the portion size. But overall yummy and great service. Can't wait to come again.

Delicious food! The sangria is great, but pricy. The wait time is reasonable most days, but don't come on National Margarita Day - I was told the wait time would be 1 hour and 45 minutes!!!!!
