Still not doing the right thing...   The Judge over my city case wasn't even the Judge who does Zoom cases mentioned on the county website while the city's lawyer wasn't even represented who was listed on that website as well and the African American Judge decided to mark prejudice, couldn't be retried.  On a disabled person with a service animal.  Really?  Whoever is working in the law library today with the attitude, needs to chill. I called the other day and a lady took my name and number as she was going to look into my situation.  The lady today basically said if I was seeking a divorce she could help answer questions but because I was told to leave my apartment with no eviction she wasn't "legally" able to help.  Because she knows they did wrong.  Cut the attitude folks.

There were people there to answer questions and point the way. All were pleasant.

it's a Court House and officers are helpful if not sure where to go in the building

They say mobile phones is not allowed in the courthouse but technically that violates our rights they only say that they are not allowed in the courthouse because a judge signed off the supreme Court overpowers the judge

People are very helpful  - for example, I didn't have my coin purse with me, so a security guard gave me a quarter to use in the locker to lock my mobile phone up. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the Courthouse. Nice guy! The Clerk's office was helpful and kind when I deposited my father's Will.

Crooked, money hungry, moral lacking low life's work here along with the police in the county. Just stay out of this county in general. Nothing good comes from this place.

Corrupt judges per small claims court that don’t listen to both sides fairly but show favoritism to lawyers then individuals who represent themselves. Judge was looking for easiest way to dismiss case rather than hear the facts. Stay away from doing business in this county to avoid dealing with its judges. They don’t derserve your time or money!

This court house is crooked they will take your money 75$ to be exact for a filing fee when u are trying to set up a court date for custody then keep your money and pretty much throw your motion in the trash. Judge shutte should be ashamed of herself letting a case go almost 2 years without being in front of a judge. But yet allows a custody case to remain in limbo since the mother of the child refuses to pay the fee that she was required to pay when asking the court for a change of venue 2 years ago and the court refuses to bring it back into Madison county after the father has filed motion after motion to where they are threatening him with contempt of court if he files another motion. What happened to right to speedy hearing. According to Madison county a father has no rights unless he hires an attorney and spends 2000 down that he don't have. So if you expect justice don't go here because all you will find is thieves that will take your money and not uphold the law. Madison county I hope you read this and make changes cause y'all need Jesus in your lives and quit stealing people's money!!!!

The staff at the County Clerk's office were so kind and helpful and the new parking lot behind the building is beautifully laid out and so easily accessible for people with disabilities!

The police and the clerks are helpful people. The problem comes into play with corruption at the highest levels. This place is most likely ran by crack heads and junkies. No one here has to take a drug test. it's a kangaroo court.
