This is a place where you get reasonable value for money food, and nothing more than that. It is an extremely functional place, in the sense that it exists to serve food and nothing else. Do not expect ambience or good music or heart warming service because that is not what you go there for. You go there for quick south Indian food, and you get that. The staff is friendly, the food is tasty (though I have definitely had better elsewhere), the place is reasonably priced and it is very conveniently located.

Very Good food. Everything was pretty good. Service is a little strange -- but I would not call it bad. They do there best and are nice. Place was crazy crowded. Worth the wait, though.

Very reasonable place for an Indian breakfast and lunch. Good quality food. Nothing fancy, but we'll prepared and delicious. Service is as one would expect  a from a place like this. Great for a quick tasty Indian bite. Would come back again.

Best South Indian food in the bay area. We have tried many other South Indian places around, but Madras cafe continues to be my favourite. 
Tip: very crowded on weekends after 8 pm. So get here early.

Good South Indian (Tamil) breakfast place. Serves breakfast all day long. Gets crowded after 8pm on weekdays and after 7:30pm on weekends. Expect a wait.
