Hidden gem. Finally stopped by to try their chaat items and was thoroughly impressed. The samosa and papdi chaat were so good, I went back to try the gulab jamun and rasmalai. Both were fantastic. The rasmalai was legit unlike most all other places that put rasgulla in sweet milk.  Can't wait to go back and try the other items.

I recently dined at Maharaja Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was absolutely delightful. The food was incredibly flavorful, and the menu offered a great variety of authentic dishes that truly satisfied my cravings for Indian cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for both casual dining and special occasions.  A special mention goes to one of the staff members, a lovely girl whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. Her hospitality was outstanding—she was very attentive, courteous, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Her service added an extra touch to the overall experience, making it even more enjoyable.  I highly recommend Maharaja Restaurant for anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service. I will definitely be returning!

Decent restaurant with good North Indian food……reminds of Punjabi dhabas……I have tried Amristari Kulcha, Makke ki roti sarso ka saag, Mix parantha, Veg thali, teasweet etc. its less spicy. They have good sweets and eggless cakes as well.Food: 4/5

It's no frills sort of place. Chat quality was just okay.  What's disappointing is the attitude of the kid in the front desk. She makes you feel like homeless asking for a free meal.Food: 3/5

Masala chai was really awesome . Price is bit higher than usual masala chai. But taste is really great  worth for the price ,  Veg Spring Roll 5 for $2 and Samosa 3 for $2. Personally I don’t like the Samosa taste here.  Vegetarian options: Vegetarian  Only

They improved their dining atmosphere and the food quality has improved considerably. Till date it is the best pure veg Indian place in Markham. While dining the food is served hot, they know how to serve and preserve pure veg Indian taste.  Vegetarian options: Awesome Aloo subzi and Poori  Parking: Free Parking

I just ordered dahi batata puri for take out and I was shocked after recieving the order as it was not what i expected, it was not made according as the yogurt was missing. Even after bringing the box back to the store within a min, and asking if , they have made the right order ? The employee is busy explaining me how it is inside the puri along with stuffing and not ready to help...overall worst experience...will recommend not to visit..  Cherry on top...it was not flavourful...no taste...  I just wasted $10 on food that was not satisfying

This place was just okkkk. I came here on a Sunday afternoon at 12pm and it was absolutely empty. At first when we walked in, it looked like a cute little spot for brunch but it ended up being just an average experience. Atmosphere was not so great, they have floor to ceiling windows but they are all covered by the large window advertisements which blocks out the sun.  There is also no AC in this restaurant, so if you come in on a warm day, be prepared to sit in the heat  it pretty much feels like you're in India  We read online that they take a while to prepare food, and after browsing the menu, it was written that the reason they take so long is because they use fresh ingredients.  We ordered the Paani Puri, Samosa Chaat & Tikki Chaat to start. Paani Puri - the paani was really tasty and they increased the amount of puris they give you from 6 to 8 now.  Samosa Chaat -  just ok, the picture on the menu shows it comes with dahi & chutneys but it actually came with chana  Tikki Chaat - This one was pretty tasty, it was two large aloo tikies with a side of chana.  For Mains we ordered:  Mixed Amritsari Kulcha  - this was really tasty! it was well stuffed and came with a dry aloo subji which we requested  originally comes with chana   Aloo Amritsari Kulcha  - this was well stuffed and was a good portion. It also came with chana  Channa Bhatura -  The Channa was just ok and the Bhatura was not good at all. it was dry, tasteless and overall just a bad situation  Almost all the dishes came with Gajar ka Achar  pickled carrot   but there was no achar flavour on them, they were simply flimsy carrots with no taste. Lastly, the onions served on the side were covered in imli ki chutney sauce  sweet tamarind sauce  which is something I've never seen before. It was not a great combo  The Mango Lassi was also pretty tasty.  Overall the food was just ok, service was friendly but very slow and the atmosphere was not the greatest. Doubtful I would come back.
