I work in close proximity to this restaurant and both myself along with many of my co workers partake in lunch from this establishment quite often. I love the sushi and the staff have always been rather pleasant..... Until recently! About 3 weeks ago I ordered 3 rolls of vegetarian caterpillar, only to get back to work and find it was not a vegetarian caterpillar and was full of eel which is really slimey and grossed me out, it even caused me to vomit in front of my co workers. This was humiliating to say the least. After work I stopped by Mai Pearl and explained how disturbing this event was for me I spoke to a woman who was kind and quickly agreed that I could come back on my lunch break the next day and they would replace without any issues. I asked if she would be there next day and remember I was coming in for free replacement, she asked me my name and assured me not worry about it my order would be replaced next day with no issues. I called to place order as you cannot order online without making online payment, which ended up turning into me calling explaining the entire story placed on hold and hung up on not once, not even twice, but 3 times which took up my entire lunch break. Finally after over an over I was able to speak to a manager who agreed to remake the incorrect order from the day before however even after explaining all the teeth pulling and calling that was required on my part to have this corrected no apology was made and no further attempts were made by Mai pearl to show acknowledgement for the frustration of me having to go with out lunch 2  days in a row because of their many errors

What great customer service we had. The sushi was fresh and seafood was super enjoyable! They have new business hours. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Most nights they close at 9PM with the exception of Fridays and Saturdays when they close at 10PM. They have a bar, private party room, and enjoyable seating. I will for sure come back and try more of their tasty sushi!  #RockFromRI

I ate once a long time ago when I lived in the area. I was back visiting, so I picked up a to go order. The food was just as good as I remembered. I'm a big fan of their house rice.Food: 5/5

First time here…amazing! My new favorite place. Pu pu platter fo 2, bnls ribs tender and moist, crab Rangoons delish, beef teriyaki tender and flavorful, chicken wings nice and crispy. Spring roll too! Meals come with egg drop or wonton soup, choice of appetizer and low mein or rice. Sesame chicken , fresh tender broccoli with chicken, chicken and broccoli again tender chicken and fresh broccoli, egg foo young  2 pieces nice lite ginger beef sauce. Food was so good. Service was on point and very friendly. Please go and enjoy !!!

I decided to give a 5 star and take action when I’m back is not just bcs the good fresh good, the warm good service during the dinner time, everyone greeting you upon your leaving. I see the owner’s effort in it. So this is a place you can come to enjoy and relax, not just fill your stomach. Thank you!

Take out order , Peking ravioli,dry and doughy. Chicken nuggets....sucked.beef skewers....good! Wicked overpriced will not be back.Food: 2/5

Food here is always good we get the pu pu platter for two the might call it something else. We choose chicken wings, chicken fingers, egg rolls, shrimp, and extra crab rangoons. For main dishes we split pad Thai and their house fried rice. The platter was good, everything on their tasted great. The pad thai was good but I wish it had more sauce, unless you really mixed it, it was a little less saucy than others I've had. The house rice tastes fresh, I know that's weird to say but it didn't taste greasy or anything like other fried rices you might have, it was very pleasant.  Service has always been good for us here, although sometimes it takes a while to get your check but not a huge deal. Drinks are also really good whatever you decide to get.

I've eaten here many times but the the new owners have improved everything!!  Especially the quality of the food and the Mai Tai's!!!  Highly recommend to retry for any locals that were previously disappointed.Food: 5/5
