Service was awful. They didn't give me the correct order, then tried to get me to pay twice. All of my food was cold because I had to wait for them to correct the order. No apology at all. They didn't want to look at my receipt to see that I had already paid. Then to top it off, I had to keep asking for my food that was just sitting on the counter getting cold. Another customer called in while I was there to complain that their bread was in the bottom of their sack and was wet. After the lady ended the call and she turned to the other workers and said...what do they wanted me to do about it and laughed. That will be my last time there. The food was awful.

My brother and I ate here two months ago, only to discover after eating our meals that this is the only restaurant in town (that we've encountered, at least) that doesn't accept American Express. All we had was American Express, so we discussed it with the waitress and concluded that we would leave and come back with the cash to cover the bill. All of this was perfectly understandable. When my brother returned to pay the debt, however, there was a different waitress who had not been informed of the situation. He had to explain what the money was for and then paid her. Two months later, and apparently the manager has been running his mouth that my brother dined and dashed. This is just slander, no two ways about it.

The Maid-Rite is my favorite breakfast stop in town. Their scrambled eggs and hash browns are top notch! Love the diner aesthetic too, full of old Hollywood photos and movie posters. Consistently great service here.
