I had another great time at Maienfels last night. It was the last Bromo Art walk of the season. I sat at the bar listening to jazz sipping a Dunkel. The staff were awesome. Listening to Christian play the trombone is always a treat I can't wait until they get their beer coolers.

Although the grub and drink options are simple, the food is good quality and the atmosphere is splendid. A great place for a real 16 day Oktoberfest celebration any time of year!  Costume contests and fun audience participation when band is performing.  A Must-see in Baltimore!   Vegetarian options: Veggie sausage and burger options!  Parking: Parking lot is a block away on Mulberry St.  Check the website before going because it isn’t clearly marked for Maienfels.  Kid-friendliness: “Giant Jenga” and open outdoor area are clean and spacious for kids to play with supervision.

We my husband & I had a VERY enjoyable time here! The German bier was excellent of course, but what made it so memorable were the crew and owners!! We met Stella, Ikaros Geraldvi, Yulia, Zion, Dimitrios, Zacharias and Jason. They were ALL so welcoming with rousing and interesting conversations. Hope you have the opportunity to visit them !

Great vibe in a totally unexpected part of town! Food was great, beer is great, employees are awesome, and they fed a person experiencing homelessness while I was here. A+ all day. There are other German beer halls/gardens in the city, but Mainfels is the most inclusive feeling, which is the beauty of Baltimore.Food: 5/5

This is a spot that if you want Baltimore to succeed, you will patronize. Here are some folks in a less finely known section of downtown offering up something different. There is shade and friendly faces. Support!Service: 5/5

Attended a wine & food pairing here. The space is nice, and many tables had umbrellas.  I caution anyone with mobility issues as the ground is 100% gravel.Atmosphere: 4/5
