Story

An Open and Affirming Conference of the United Church of Christ, we are 165 +/- Churches with 20,000 members throughout the state of Maine. Often called "the congregational church", the United Church of Christ formed in 1957 from the union of several denominations including many of the congregational churches. Today, we are often associated as the "God is Still Speaking" denomination with the motto: "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcomed here."

Mission

To provide a meaningful spiritual life to all who seek it in the state of Maine. To serve the people of Maine and the world, particularly the poor and those who face discrimination. We seek a just peace as we advocate for causes of social justice and global peace.
