I was in the mood for curry shrimp and decided to try this location. I called in my order of the curry shrimp with rice and peas and cabbage. They said it would take 45 minutes because it is made to order. When I arrived I found parking on the street and walked in. The nice man came out and the food wasn't ready yet. I waited another 20 minutes or so. When it was done I paid about $19 for the small and left. When I got home I dug in and the food was very good. There was plenty of food as well. The experience I had was good and I would return.
The goat curry and chicken curry were soooo good! The jerk chicken wings were yummy as well. The portion sizes were excellent and definitely worth the money. I took a star away because I wasn't crazy about the oxtails or the wait time. They gave us the flat round pieces none were exceptionally large, nor seasoned as well as the curry but there was a good amount for the large order. The wait time was definitely long but when I finally got to taste the food I wasn't disappointed at all!
It's not fancy but the food is AMAZING. You can tell it's cooked daily and it's fresh and clean. The patties were so good, I was mad I only bought two. No store bought patties, he makes them fresh. You are definitely going to wait a while for the food, so if you are looking for a quick bite, this ain't it. But lord is it good.Food: 5/5
I’ve been looking for good West Indian food since moving to NJ. Mama Sher has fit the bill! Great tasting curry goat, clean and not too salty! Fabulous!
The food was really good my only grievance was there was not enough sauce for my oxtail. But overall it was very enjoyable and I will be ordering from them again
Very long wait and to top it off received stale cabbage and the rice was not fresh, very salty food every time.
Best Jamaican food this side. So far I tried the curry goat, curry chicken, and oxtail. All of them have been great. I hope to go through whole menu. A little pricey but they give you big portions. Food is definitely worth the wait.
I have been coming to this one a long time despite my travels OTR but u know it has to be good if I have been coming here for so long I don't ever remember them not being there As for bad food never is my experience Bad attitude as energy was being matched And wait times varies on customer volume from present and calls And if u want salmon call ahead 45 min preptime but so worth it!!!!!!!
Horrible customer service. Went and ordered soup there was only one older man at the counter. I ordered and waited for 10 min for him to say there is no soup. Lines were long with no one to help
Horrible customer service!!!! They don’t serve fresh food and they don’t know how to talk to customers on the phone. Please don’t waste your time. There are better Jamaican restaurants elsewhere.
