Nice spot for an all around breakfast experience. Next to Grand Central station, open feel with big windows. Not too much seating though. Wide selection of baked goods and foods for those who want savory or sweet for breakfast. Coffee is pretty good. Omelette selection of toppings not great but sometimes less choices are better. Known for a cookie that oprah tried “nutty choc chip”
Overrated. Do not come here unless you’re bored and lost all of your taste buds from covid and have money to waste. Tried “Oprah’s favourite cookie” which was a ruined version of macadamia but cookie sweet dry and tasted 6 days old. I kid you not just go to subway if you want a dry circular piece of tasteless sugar, subway cookies are more worth it. TOO MANY HYDRANGEAS as decor.
Maman is such a gem! The workers are so kind, the food is so delicious and well priced especially for the area!, and the seating is so cute. The quiche portion was large and super tasty, and the chai tea was delicious. The pastries are also super delicious. It was such a pleasure to eat here and will definitely come back! Great spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, vegetarians, gluten free friends, or to go coffee orders. Note- it is a laptop free environment! Gluten free note- they had some gluten free menu options as well as some separately packaged gluten free goodies
Since the opening the store needs to be better maintained. The floors and seats are always dirty. New location that opened up a month ago. The interior is very bright and open. Space isn't too big but there's still a decent number of seats. There was a wide variety of pastries. Unfortunately their coffee brewer was down when I visited early in the morning. Other than that service was good. Their orange pistachio olive oil cake is really good. The apple spiced loaf has a good spice flavor profile. The rhubarb strawberry pastry and apple croissant were mediocre tasting of neither flavors. And the white chocolate lavender bundt cake was ok too but could have a stronger flavor profile. The lemon poppy seed olive oil loaf was very dense and on the sweet side.
For $22.00 I got a decent omelette, a mouthful of rotten salad greens, cold and dry toast with icy cold butter that I had to ask for, and disposable fork and knife. For $22 I don’t get a metal fork or knife but I do get to contribute to plastic waste!Food: 2/5
Cool little cafe on East 44th. Funky Mediterranean vibes with accompanying blue/white crockery. Specialising in Papa Poule, a French-style rotisserie. Had the quarter chicken set with coleslaw and red pepper aioli. Generous serving of chunky coleslaw, not too much mayo. Flavoursome red pepper aioli. Huge portion of chicken, a little dry, but went well with the coleslaw and aioli.
Cute spot for coffee and teas! My favorite is the lavender matcha. They also have a lot of delicious pastries and brunch options, just a bit pricy. This location is a bit smaller than the other locations, with less seating.Food: 5/5
Bought the classic chocolate chip cookie and the pain au chocolat and they were great. Cute little bakery.Food: 5/5
I have never quite seen croissants like these. My overnight coconut oatmeal was absolutely amazing. I hope that I can return sometime.Food: 5/5
I love Maman and was so excited when this location opened! Their baked goods and coffee never disappoint. I only went in for a snack this time - the pumpkin spice cookie and a latte - and they were delicious. The space itself is small but very bright and doesn’t make you feel like you’re in Midtown.
