They were only fast because they denied any, and all help. Also, there's no privacy, and the woman at the desk refused to accept my name on piece of paper, then proceeded to tell me I'd have a long wait. Not much use at all really.
I just left the Welfare Office @ 1528 Elm St. Manchester, NH and spoke with case worker: HEATHER. I am writing in regards to notify someone that she is rude, easily tempered, and I feel shamed and judged in her presence. She is not friendly, forthcoming and welcoming at the office. I feel she needs to be spoken with about her performance and abilities to work as a caseworker. I do not believe she is competent enough and not qualified to assist the public. I hope no one else will feel as I do and I'd like to see her lose her employment with City Welfare, as I have been nothing but friendly and cooperative with the information requested of me and many times she has disrespected me and I don't want to see anyone else endure the same treatment as I have received!
with all the potential to help in my personal situation this organization only added more frustration more physical pain and no assistance. The fact that it knew in advance from my initial request that it would not assist me, they required me to do any number of things which took me from one end of the city to the extreme other end of this city. My medical situation which Dino of where's at a high risk for heart attack and stroke while I would have been grateful if that effort to go everywhere had meant I was able to get some assistance. My irritation with that agency that it was not necessary to do that when I knew in advance that would not be helping me
Mark is simply A M A Z I N G ! He truly is in this job because he wants to help families get back into a home of their own and helping them in anyway he can to get there while supplying shelter ! He doesn't make you feel less of a person or failure at life he is by far the best caseworker I've worked with on city welfare here or Nashua he truly cares about the ppl he works with he's not just there for a paycheck Mark thank you so much for everything your doing for my family Amber Josh and the boys
This facility is great. No lines and great customer service.
Bad customer service. I don’t think they quite understand that if it wasn’t for people like myself who needed assistance they wouldn’t have a job.
Apparently they refuse to help with rental assistance because the rents are too high in Manchester. It’s law that if you have a child with a different gender than you over a certain age, they cannot share a room with you but also over a certain age, they have to have their own room as well. So that means at least a 2 bedroom but for some families that’s a 3 bedroom. 2-3 bedroom rentals in Manchester are roughly $2000. But this is the exact amount they said they wouldn’t help me cover because it’s too much. That’s interesting considering the price is why I am sealing assistance. The person I spoke with told me to just move out and then maybe I could get help. Just move out? Like it’s so simple to break lease and find a new place without them willing to help find landlords willing to accept vouchers. He said it like he could really care less. His attitude was like “hahaha you’re stuck and there’s nothing you can do and you’re desperate aren’t you? Should have thought about that before coming here because nobody is going to help you” in fact he said nobody will help you if you’re renting at that price point. I’ve worked in social services and I have never treated an applicant like they were a joke or beneath me. This man was giddy as he turned me and my 2 small kids away. I asked about other assistance not related to housing and he wrote something down but never gave it to me and just left he room like he didn’t even need to make an effort to help or do his job. I guess since he has a roof over his head and food to eat, he doesn’t have to care if no one else does even if that’s his job which pays for all those things he has that others don’t.
