Oh, man. WOW. This was terrible. We had the tabago special and the soup. The special lacked salt and any sort of seasoning to redeem its bland nature. By lacked salt, I mean no salt whatsoever. The rice was so overcooked that when it combined with the coconut milk and red beans it formed a paste. The chicken was bland, overcooked, and surprisingly dry. A thick layer of vegetable oil coated the entire dish. There were no discernible objects that could have been red beans. I asked for it to spicy, apparently that meant that I wanted it to have three tablespoons of black pepper on it. Oh man, gross. Black pepper is not a spicy thing. The soup was recommended and it was equally vile. It had no flavor. It tasted like water. Everything about these two dishes was horrible. The manager, who recommended to food and took my order, was rude and unpleasant. I think she caught on that I was unhappy. And even though she warmed up towards the end, it was a bad experience. It was probably one of the worst meals I have ever had.

Very cool restaurant. Like those backpacker restaurants in Thailand etc. Love the interior & Caribbean music. The chef was super nice, came to the table to say hello and to shake your hands. Very friendly, also the rest of the staff. The Jamaican chicken patty was a bit spicy but good, the backyard soup was yummy too. The Tobago special (chicken pelau) was not the best but still good! So delish: grilled banana with rum sauce and coconut ice!! The prices are totally ok for what you get. I loved the whole atmosphere here. So calming!
