The Manhattan Beach Police Department is a premiere, full-service law enforcement organization. The dedicated men and women of this Police Department are an integral part of this community, and the community is an integral part of the Police Department. We count on each other to keep this community safe and to work on quality of life issues so that residents love living here, businesses thrive, and visitors enjoy their stay.

The Police Department is staffed by a dedicated, hard-working team of 65 sworn and 40 civilian full-time employees, and operates under two Bureaus - Administration/Investigations and Field Operations.

Literally had a police officer just now force my garage door open as it was closing because he claimed that I ran a stop sign. He then said that he can take me into jail for running the sign and drinking and driving, I said test my bac and I mentioned that my house camera shows everything to which he then said for me to have a good night and they left. Living in Manhattan beach AND on the strand I would have never thought that I'd ever encounter someone forcing my garage door open and threatening me like that. That's breaking and entering of a private residence  and for what? An accusation of a moving violation? This is scary... 
Police will make up whatever they want to warrant an arrest, break and enter private property for supposedly running a stop sign... I thought I was supposed to feel safe and protected in my neighborhood... Once again the thanks goes to security cameras, otherwise who knows what they would have done to me. I'm truly terrified

This review is for officer Shah of Manhattan Beach. I met him the other day while visiting an elderly client of mine. I received a ticket for parking in the red outside of my client's home, which is fine, I won't park there again. I believe that officer Shah sets a standard for leadership and service in our community. There's a fine balance between being an authority figure and being a member of our small, warm hearted beach community. We've all met that rude parking attendant, who thinks their badge is some type of excuse to be unkind. But officer Shah is one who honors the integrity of his badge while behaving like a perfect gentleman. His eloquent and respectfull speech exemplifies the kind of people we need more of, not just in uniform but in this world.

They always are there for my family when we need them. Even at the building, staff is patient and helpful.

Car got towed on Sunday. My problem, gotta go pick it up. The assholes at MBPD then send me to a South Torrance tow yard... that's closed. Nice.
