Very friendly staff, beautiful dining area inside. We had the duck and the meatloaf and both were delicious. Nice local wine list too. And a nice view of the lake!

We came here about 10 years ago the food was amazing. We met the chef. Based on that we were in the area and gave them a second try. The dining area was clean and neat. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, she made us feel comfortable. She even shared the history of the restaurant and the owner. I ordered the broasted chicken with veggies. I requested mashed potatoes instead of rice. It came with a salad, and raspberry vinegret. My husband ordered the Three Cheese Ravioli, side of veggies and salad. The salads came out first attractive, vinegret was tasty, I found two brown pieces of greens. The meals came out quickly. My Chicken was fried not broasted, the flavor was ok but not what I would expect for an$18 dinner. There was such a small serving of veggies the combination was nice but I would have preferred more. My mashed potatoes were awful, and I hate to even use that word. They tasted like water with a small dolop of white sauce on top the sauce was tasty. My husband's $17 Ravioli was bland. The veggies we're good but the serving too small, the salad was good. The owner appeared to be the chef, but I'm not certain. The only way we would return is if the quality of the food improved.

Food was average. Service was average. Atmosphere was poor. Value wasn't there. Could be extraordinary but needs attention to detail. Front porch would be nice to sit on but not at all inviting. Would I go back? No not unless there was an effort to make it a average to good experience. They need direction or sell it to someone that could breath some life into it.

I got married here last year and was so well taken care of I can't believe there's a bad review of it! My wedding party and I stayed in the cabins behind the restaurant and were pampered beyond belief! The restaurant doesn't actually serve breakfast, but they opened their doors to us anyways and created a simple menu for us on the spot. We planned the whole thing with the chef and owner of the restaurant and had a very good experience, including my whole family, guests and myself. I still get people telling me how good the food and the people were. I'm happy to give them full marks on all areas of service.
