Went to this train station today and a stranger started yelling at my friends and I because we did not go on the correct way but we just didn’t know because it was our first time there. Then when the train arrived the stranger started to tell the employee on the train not to let us on and the employee listened to this man without hearing our story. So I do not recommend this train station.
Easy to use and get tickets through the app. This stations has been newly renovated and the surrounding area has new buildings going up. Definitely a easy access station for any commuters
Nice place to visit. Friendly folks. Plenty of options for shopping and dining. The only major drawback is there is no public transportation, and finding a taxi is all but impossible.
I purchased a ticket from Mansfield to Coventry from the ticket office, at Mansfield and at the same time requested a print out of the journey changes. The print out said to change at Nottingham and Birmingham New street. On arrival at the barrier at Birmingham new street I was denied access to the coventry train platform. On querying this with Birmingham New street ticket office staff they said that the print out I had been given was not correct and the ticket would not allow travel through Birmingham New street to Coventry. The ticket office would not budge on this issue even though they admitted that the Mansfield ticket office had given me the wrong information. They asked me to pay again or purchase a single ticket to Coventry.
The Cafe is nice, but needs a lot more parking. Non resident spaces fill up very quickly
Decent station set up. Easier platform access than some other stations on this line.
Overcrowded station. I guess props for renovating but that doesn't help when there are hundreds of people trying to get on at this particular stop.
Great suburb convenient to highways and public transportation
