Good people to be around. I don't drink just soda or water and I'm welcomed with open arms. Really like it here.

Great place for a cheap beer. And on karaoke nights the regulars all have amazing singing ability!

Once the bartender starting smoking behind the bar I was done. Dark and loud. No thanks.

Unlike the last review, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Maple. I am a business traveller that abhor chain restaurants and relish meeting locals in their own environment. I came in expecting to rub elbows with the calused men of East Hartford and looked forward to gravelly-voiced women telling me about their third husbands. What I found was a crowd that truly was the salt-of-the-earth, a very friendly, humorous barmaid, a well stocked juke box, obligatory pool tables and stiff drinks. I had a couple of Kettl / Sodas and my friend had a bud with a cuervo back. The only surprise I had was the tab. My bill was about what I pay for a single drink in downtown Hartford. I recommend this place as your quintessential corner bar
