We welcome you and thank you for your interest in our clinic!

We are a family owned local small animal practice that has been caring for cats and dogs in the Uptown New Orleans area for over forty years. In some instances, we are serving multiple generations of client families and our longevity is due in large part to the generous personal referrals of satisfied clients.

Great vet. Been to several others over the years. These people are always busy but they always make it work for us - they find a way to address our needs. Dr. Emily and her entire team always greet you with a smile, never make you feel that you are interrupting (even when you are), pretend like your dog is their favorite (they can't ALL be their favorites, right? but you would never know it....) and they do their best to give your pet the treatment it needs in the most cost effective way possible.  It's like a family and they truly deserve all the loyalty they have.  Generation upon generation.

This place is amazing! My dog has had seizures ever since he was a puppy and I was super nervous that I was going to have to put him down because his seizures kept getting longer and more frequent throughout the day. Dr. Schmidt was phenomenal! She was kind, looking for the best quality of life for myself and my dog, and willing to work with me no matter how long it took. She helped us figure out the right medication regimen and my dog has been seizure free for over a year! I know this happy ending won’t happen for everyone but I appreciate the patience and kindness that everyone at this vet showed me and my dog for every visit! I cannot thank you guys enough!

I would never trust this place with my animals. The first time we went just for yearly shots ect. Both of my dogs developed lumps from their rabies shots. After months they eventually went away, we let that slide. Next I bring in my boy dog for anal gland issues which he has had before. They express his glands and give him medictaion. After 5 visits in just a couple weeks and spending almost $300 on anal glands and medications I bring him home to our old vet, they do 1 single infusion and his glands heal and he is fine and hasn't had a single issue since. Then it gets WAY WORSE. The vet tells me my Aussie has 10 BROKEN TEETH. She tells us she will need to get them pulled out because they are cracked. We immediately trusted her but looking at the bill for the procedure decided to get a second opinion. We drive back home to our regular vet, they have not only the dental hygienist look at her teeth but both doctors WITHOUT TELLING THEM WHAT'S WRONG. They all say there is NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH ANY OF THIS DOG'S TEETH. We told them what the Maple Street vet had said and they couldn't help but laugh thinking it was a joke!!!! Sadly this place seems to only care about money. They let my dog go in pain for weeks and weeks without ever helping him and wanted to let my 4 year old dog live with 10 missing teeth for no reason. They seem nice but either are EXTREMELY inexperienced or are very bad people.

MSAC is like family to me and my babies. One of my pups has anxiety, and everyone in the clinic is so supportive and caring.  Dr Hill has been a wonderful resource and helped us navigate through all the ins and outs of our pup's needs.  And his team is wonderful! We love them so much
