We tried this restaurant in old town Scottsdale by the canal. The setting is beautiful with the lights, and the weather was great on the patio in May after 7pm. Expect to pay a decent amount. The quality of the food is good. Portion size varied. My wife had a seafood dish that was a special with lobster. It was probably the best and biggest dish. The pasta dishes we tried were very tasty, and adequate. The veal and chicken dishes were pretty small, so if you order that don't come hungry. The mule in spring drink was refreshing, though my wife's espresso martini was really tasty.

The fresh pastas are beautifully made, the sauces are delicious, & the service is impeccable. Be sure to book a dinner reservation here next time you’re in Old Town Scottsdale!  We had a wonderful meal this evening; thanks to Marcellino Ristorante for the great Italian food & lovely experience.

Started off with the grilled jumbo shrimp appetizer see pic.  I'm not a fan.  Shrimp were not jumbo, and they smelled fishy.  Scalloppini gargonzola was way too strong, and I wasn't impressed with the veal kinda tough.  Service was ok.  So many good Italian restaurants in Scottsdale to choose from, I'm not really a fan of Matcellino.

I highly recommend this exquisite restaurant. Excellent Service with the friendliest staff and amazing owners who interact with their guests. Each dish is made with a personal touch of perfection. I look forward to coming here again on my next visit to Scottsdale. Overall an excellent experience.Food: 5/5

For the amount of money paid for the meal, this was a disappointing experience. The food was good as they say all of the pasta is made in house. However, the salad was kind of bland, the bread was hard and the butter they served with it was frozen.  However, the most disappointing aspect of this experience was the indifference of the staff. The hostess was pleasant, but the wait staff were not interested in being friendly or accommodating. unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Reason for 3 stars is: No refills on beverages and bread. 2. potion/portions too small 3. amazing hospitalityFood: 3/5

If you happen to visit Scottsdale AZ and you are in the mood for pasta, I highly recommend stopping by Marcellino. They offer a variety of very interesting an unique fresh made pasta. Before ordering, please ask your waiter to tell you about the various pasta offerings of the day, you cannot go wrong. They also have a nice selection of wines and some excellent cocktails.

The food was okay. I say this because by looking at the price, I was expecting a little much. As appetizer I ordered a tuna carpaccio, where the carpaccio was very very less and the herbs were way more. As main i had pasta with shrimps, which was good, but it had a swimming pool of sauce at the bottom, which I wouldn't expect at this price point.
