I have always liked this theatre in past, but today was eye opening. I had a gift card that was used for admittance. Along with the gift car was a $5 snack card for use at concession stand. Being a Tuesday, some of the concession items were specially priced. Hit dogs $2 each, lg bucket if popcorn $4, and some candies for $1. I wanted the large popcorn for $4. I handed over my $5 snack card and was told I still owed $3.50. What? How is that, I ask. I am told you cannot use the $5 snack card on items that are on special so $5 would be taken off the $8.50 a full bucket normally costs. What kind of nonsense is that?? He then told me I could have 2 hot dogs, but I did not want hot dogs. So my husband says OK I will take a hot dog and she will just get the free small popcorn also offered on Tuesdays and we walk away. I said wait a minute....1 hot dog is $2 today and he took the $5 snack card we should still have $3 left in the card...I want the card back it still has a balance on it. So we get back in line and wait and wait only to be told he cannot give it back. So now we talk to the manager who says we should of ordered 2 hot dogs and 1 candy for $5 and we could have used the fill card that way. WHAT???? I originally wanted a lousy popcorn tub for $4 and that was a no go because specially priced items must be bought at full price and there snack card is subtracted from that full price, and now you tell me I can use it on the hot dog and candy specials???? Get your act together! Post a sign that reads these specially priced concession items will be charged at full price if using a snack card to purchase them!!! So people, if you get a snack card...BEWARE!!

Right from the start you walk into a beautiful lobby. Concessions in front of you. Bar to your left and a performance are to the right. Pricing is a little high, wouldn't be a movie theater if it wasn't though. Am I right? The theater's are glorious. Leather recliners, separated into twos. Enough space for you to recline and still allow the patron with a small bladder to make their frequent trips. Such a wonderful experience with a wonderful staff to guide you through. This theater really makes it worth your while to go see the newest blockbuster... Or buster.

I love the Marcus Renaissance Theater. We go to at least one movie a week, we try to go to two. We go on Tuesday because it's only $5.00 with a free "Junior" Popcorn. And Friday is Senior Day and is only $6.00. Make sure you are a Marcus Movie Rewards member. Every purchase you make for tickets, at any of the concessions, the restaurants, the bar all those points add up to free $$ to spend on anything! I just had $15.00 on my rewards card. I've only used $4.25 of it thus far. Points don't expire for 6 months, just be sure to use them. With all the good movies out and being released, and the fact that it's winter makes it a nice escape!

The WORST movie experience of my life. It's very sad because my family grew up going here almost every week. Never will i be going back there and neither will my family or friends. Our food was made incorrectly TWICE , finally just took the incorrect pizza and when we sat down to eat it, it was hard and cold. Not to mention the rest of the food we ordered was cold because we were waiting so long for the food to be made correctly. On top of it we missed the previews and the first 15 minutes of the movie. Finally, we got back to our seat only to find out that my mother's chair was broken. While this whole thing was happening there were managers watching and doing absolutely nothing. I will be spending my gas money and driving to South Shore from now on. This is by NOT a great experience. Do not go to this movie theatre, you will regret It. Terrible food, TERRIBLE SERVICE and the managers could care less.

Clean. Lively. Amazing seating in all theatres. Great drinks. I come here all the time even though I live a half hour away-- it's that good.
