Physical therapy is great, food menu is decent... but help on the floor in rooms has a lot to be desired.  You press the call button and a caregiver comes in, turns it off, says she will be right back and usually doesn't return for an hour... if she even returns.  And this is not just one person... they all seem to do this.  I don't know if it's laziness or being understaffed, but I find it extremely unprofessional and frustrating to deal with constantly.

Horrid horrid place!! Kept my mother in law on serious doses of morphine so she didn't complain. She was frightened to be a burden. Upon the visit we walked into her room she was covered in crusted vomit from breakfast. She was sharing the room with a dementia patient whom they yelled at frequently. She ended up getting pneumonia, a UTI, and a fungal infection on top of her surgery for her hip and arm fracture AND they never changed her dressing for the wounds. Ugh!!! We had to call 911 to have her transported back to the hospital. She passed away this past weekend because of the complications. Rest in peace mama Z 💖

My father spent 10 days in this facility after being discharged from the hospital after a fall.

Although my interaction was limited to frequently calling from out of state, I was very pleased with the quality of care he reported receiving there.  The room was clean, pleasant, and modern.  The staff paid good attention to him, e.g., when he pressed the button to call for attention, they came to his aid.

My dad was particularly impressed by the food--tasty and in served in generous quantities--which is a very important issue for him.  (Even in his late 80s, he is a heavy-set guy with the appetite of someone half his age.)  

He also received thorough physical therapy twice a day.  It was strenuous enough to make him tired, which seems like a good sign.

The bottom line is that I could hardly have been happier with Margate.

The nurses did a very good job with my grandfather!

My mother is in rehab there. They are unresponsive. It took hours until I got a call back from a social worker.
