Maria Montessori Academy is built upon the educational legacy of Dr. Maria Montessori who believed that all children are uniquely intelligent. The Montessori Method focuses on the whole child and facilitating the development of the child’s independence and sense of personal empowerment.

Mission

The mission of Maria Montessori Academy is to provide an individualized Pre-K through Grade 9 education that promotes academic excellence founded on the authentic philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. MMA will craft each child’s education in partnership with educators and parents to achieve higher levels of academic, personal and social achievement, thereby preparing students to become constructive contributors to their community.

This is a great school. I have been here since kindergarten and they have some amazing and intelligent teachers here.  I have had a wonderful experience here with my friends, teachers, and fellow classmates. The elementary is amazing, and so is the staff. 4 stars.

Focus on the Maria Montessori Philosophy with an awesome lower and upper elementary program and middle school.  Great location across from North Shore.  Really allows for kids to explore learning avenues that are of interest to them.

I have been at mma since 5th grade at the time I was confused what the Montessori way was and still am sometimes.
The teachers at the time were sorta kinda nice I get how for the dresscode that you need to look   Presentable for people who walk in  but some times the dresscode is kinda strict well at least we don’t have uniforms cuz I heard the new principal say that if it were her way see would change it but I think that we should have like a couple times a week were we could ware whatever we want.
But in my honesty I think that Maria Montessori academy needs some help and North Ogden jr high is a better Choice for people like me who want actual grades instead of standard base grading and the teachers have been really rude and have no respect what so ever to us kids except the 9th graders which is so not fair 
But...... at North Ogden jr high all the teachers are so respectful to the kids and treat all kids nicely.

I have gone to the school sense the start! I have not seen a single reason to leave. I have been here sense 1st and I am now in 8th. I am planning on sitting tight until the end. The students are nice and the teacher are top notch

I'm right now in this school in eighth grade. I enjoy being in it, the teachers don't bore me to death, and sometimes this school actually makes me want to do my work at times. I'm actually confused onto what I could say on what they can improve on. If anything I would say they need to get faster computers. The long loading times on them make me waste time during times like work cycle.
