Marin Joe's has been cooking up award winning food for years! Marin Joe's offers a large piano bar area, the perfect place to unwind before dinner. During cold winter evenings, a cozy fireplace keeps you warm. The full bar serves your favorite drinks while you listen and relax to classic tunes by local musicians. Musicians play six days a week.

Marin Joe's is one of those restaurants that I have seen on the side of the 101 freeway for literally as long as I can remember. I didn't realize that it is a Marin County institution and good restaurant until I sat in the lively waiting area of the restaurant waiting for a salad Joe's had donated for me to take to a charity event. I promised myself I'd eat there soon. Soon, turned out to be last night. My three companions and I got lucky and were able to sit in a large comfortable booth right away. It was 6:00pm on a Monday night. I've been told that the restaurant is quite crowded on weekends with long waits. Reservations are for parties of seven (7) or more. We enjoyed the easy going 50s ambiance, good martinis, the chefs in their toque hats cooking where we could see them and of course, the delicious food. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She recommended to the two of us who had the steak special that the chefs tended to under cook meat, so we ordered the steaks "medium" and got the Medium Rare we really wanted. They were perfect actually. The Cherry Pie was fresh and good. All in all, this is a fine place to eat.

Iconic local landmark restaurant that has been serving succulent cuisine for decades. Fabulous menu and great atmosphere and old school bar. You must sit at the counter right in front of the charcoal pit grill and watch the master grill chef work his magic. One of my favorite things to do here. Everything is excellent no matter what you order. Their classic cheeseburger on sourdough french bread is to die for and make sure you eat it plain. No mustard or ketchup to ruin the wonderful flavor of the aged beef and crispy, buttery sourdough bread. Mouth watering yet? Trust me, you and your stomach will love this place!

Great food. Old style Americana diner style booths with high Quality food. Delicious and tasty open flame steaks, prime ribs , fish. Amazing garlic bread. A very nice bar attached to the restaurant low lighting, and sports channel.

Well prepared and tasty food. For the main course, the portions are plentiful. However, for dessert I had the cheesecake which by the way was the smallest sliver of cheesecake ever served in a restaurant. Don't waste your money ordering the cheesecake. Otherwise, I recommend this location for the food and service.

Love this place. Old world... simple fish and vegetables, great martinis, cozy booths. Fun for a date, a cote, or just hanging with friends. Love the staff.
