My family and I spent 4 nights at Marina Del Mar over the 2017 holidays, mostly because of the Dive Shop next door and the shipwrecks nearby. We are experienced divers (he has over 1,000 dives, and she has over 500, daughter has almost 50) and travelers. We love the ocean and its critters. Husband loves the ship wrecks. We have stayed at MANY different diving destinations and can honestly say that this facility is well managed and comfortable. When we complained about the noise from the local bar, Daniel at the front desk was very kind and helped us switch to a suite that was quieter. The murphy bed was perfect for our teenager, and she had a TV of her own in the living area. Our bedroom was private, had a nice TV, and the mattress was firm. We had A HUGE WALK-IN CLOSET (?) that ended up being very helpful. The bathroom in the suite had two sections - toilet and shower in one room with a door, and then a washing area with a huge counter and two sinks. One person can be showering while another is using the sink and both have privacy. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS GOOD! But it could have had some fresh fruit... only had juices. There was a variety of 'eats' ! We ended up bringing the food back to our room so we wouldn't have to wait on line to toast our bagels. Our room had a toaster, a fully stocked kitchenette with dishes, silverware, microwave and full size fridge. We were also able to fill our empty water bottles with fresh clean cold water from a cooler in the lobby. This was so nice, b/c water costs money otherwise. $2/bottle

Very nice hotel. Clean with all necessary amenities and friendly staff. Associated with the holiday inn next door. Only issue was noise from nearby restaurant/bar.

Not glamorous but nice. It was clean, had free breakfast, and in a good location. We were able to use the pool of the holiday inn next door which we loved. We would stay here again.

Make sure you get a room overlooking the canal where all the boats are docked. If you don't ask for this you will get a room facing the street with no View. The Bar Next Door was a bit loud at night time till about 11 but the music was good. The rooms we're kind of old but they seemed clean enough that one could not complain.

This place is clean and the staff have been great. It's a little run down but it is very clean, I can't complain about the conditions. The first day we didn't have hot water in the shower. We told the front desk at 6:00 pm on a Friday and they sent maitenance to our room immediately. The shower was fixed before we got back from dinner. That is better service than we've had at other, more expensive places. I would stay here again.
