The negative reviews went online to various websites not the actual place of business!! We’ve all had bad experiences with the workers and with how long anything to do with the government takes, however this was not the case, I came in at 4:42 and I was out at 4:48, they closed at 5 and I was not the only one there, the cashier was very nice, he made sure to inform me of the additional $2 charge for using a card, and apologized for it as well, but it’s not like any of the cashiers make the price they just work there.
Their email doesn't work. Trying to get death certificate for my brother, who was a property owner and had just sold a home, to freeze his bank accounts, his cards were stolen so was his phone when we were notified of him being in the hospital. The bank can't do a thing until we have the death certificate. USPS gave us 10 days after his death in early December, that they would hold his mail from going to his home again. We were told it will take up to 3 mos.
Will tell what happened in length if our situation does not get taken care of properly. Update: The response I received let me know that there is a woman in this office who fraudulently changes paperwork to suite her opinion. We as young married. Black muslims gave our child her proper and legal name at birth and filled out the proper paperwork after her out-of-hospital birth and a woman at this facility did not give my husband a copy of what she sent off for her "Official" Birth Certificate to be filed for...2 to 3 weeks later, our child was automatically given my slave surname instead of the Muslim name she was given AT birth and NAMED ON THE APPLICATION SUBMITTED by her Married parents. Whatever the reason for the disCRIMINATION, it is not appreciated and it is very disrespectful to for this to have been done. It is more than inconvenient that we are expected to jump through hoops we did not put up. We did our part to do for ourselves and the consequence according to a black female staff member at the MCHD is her being able to determine the names of children born in this county. We serve Allah and noone else. As Salaam Alaikum. We advise those who want to have certified birth certificates for their children to DO FOR SELF and file what is NECESSARY and not what is UN necessary. Go beyond the offices in between. Otherwise you may choose to deal with the consequences of one who is dumb, deaf, and blind to what is real. The freedom of choice despite one's opinion due to lack of knowledge OR evidence to produce said knowledge. Peace to the Peacemakers.
The foreign man in the front that sits by the computer was very rude. He acted as if he couldn’t see me, and then was talking to his co workers as if I wasn’t standing there. I will not be back to this place. The man was racist and very stuck up. I don’t recommend coming here at all!
Went expecting a wait. Was surprised and thrilled that I was in and out, with a copy of my birth certificate, in under 15 minutes. I had put off getting my birth certificate because I thought it would be a hassle, but they made it super easy.
This place is the worst it’s has been 4 weeks since I placed my son birth certificate online and no one has reached back out to me nor has tried to help me in anyway I’m irrated with them! Sent the application with money order and still nothing I don’t know what to do. I have called at least 6 times and no one has still called me back
I just got back from getting copy of birth certificate for my daughter. I took a book because I was expecting a long wait. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They were very efficient and courteous.
I went to obtain a birth certificate on 08/18/21. Upon arriving, I noticed a sign sitting in front of the doors. It states the building is closed to the public and lists the phone number to call for assistance. I called the number and a woman answered. I explained I need to get my son's birth certificate and I have to submit it to my employer by Friday for insurance purposes. She advised me that they don't have the internet and don't currently have access to vital records nor do they have any way to print them out. She stated this has been the case for the past two to three weeks and they anticipate it will be at least one more week before the problem is resolved. She stated I can request my son's birth certificate through the State of Indiana but that it will take six to eight weeks to arrive. Wanted to let everyone know before they take a trip and are unable to access services inside.
Went in for birth certificates for my kids - I was in and out within 10 mins. Just needed my valid state ID. $15 for each certificate. Additional $2 each if you want it laminated.
Every time I’ve been there for , everyone has always been polite and helpful! They have a good system to get you in and out! ᕕ ᐛ ᕗ Usually it’s less than 15 minutes. ! The paper BC cards wear out over time, the extra buck is so worth it. 20 yrs. later it will still look good!
