I had lunch with my family. We ordered tuna as an appetizer, salmon as a main entrance and couscous with chicken. The quality of food was fresh and good. The service was kind and friendly from the hostess to the waitress. They are dog friendly. This restaurant is located inside Newman Marcus after crossing the corner store. It’s worth it and it’s much better to eat in Mariposa than in the restaurants located inside the mall. I have eaten several times in the Merrick Park’s restaurants and they are not good at all because the quality of food and flavor is bad. So it’s better to eat here if you are shopping around. The place is cleaned. It’s not fancy and nothing special, the only thing special is the balcony, but the restaurant is not well decorated.

I had dinner with my Mom and Aunt and the food was really good but the best experience was our waiter. Geraldo was funny, attentive and we not only had fun with him but even though he had a lot of tables he had time to have fun with us. He also saw us again after our meal and thanked us for the experience and said to ask for him again which of course we will.

Mariposa is a chic place for a quick bite. The place is full of natural light, the servers are attentive and the food is fresh. I have been to Mariposa many times thru the years, and I never had a single problem. Yes, sometimes you need to wait especially if you don't call ahead; but such is life in the tropics.

Worst dining experience. Sat at a table for 2 close to the bar for an entire hour, 3 different waiters randomly stopped by, no drink refills, no bread, we had to get a waiter’s attention to get some service. Place settings were dirty and stained. After an hour waiting, food never arrived burger and salmon tacos. We ended up leaving after the order never arrived. Michael Hyatt, restaurant manager stopped by the table, didn’t offer any apologies, only stating the food would be right out. Hyatt is the rudest, most careless, thoroughly incompetent restaurant manager I’ve ever encountered. Will never return after having filed a complaint with Neiman Marcus corporate headquarters. This location is garbage.

I went with my husband and the atmosphere and the food was very good, and the service was excellent.  Gerardo attended us, what a great human being and what excellent service from him. We love it!!

Niçoise salad use to be my favorite menu item, Mariposa managed to ruin it/// now is a bad salad with cold and stiff potatoes. Not GOOD at all///  :
