We used Mark Lindsay Plumbing to renovate two of our bathrooms. They did excellent work, very professional. They also came through for us on a particularly nasty clog on a weekend. Great customer service. Would definitely use them again.

I have used Mark Lindsay Plumbing a few times now. They are reliable and come when scheduled. Their guys are always polite and respectful and pleasant to have in the house.

I've used Mark Lindsay Plumbing a handful of times, and while I am pleased with their work, price can be a limiting factor. Pros: all the techs are very skilled and dedicated; Big Jim is a great guy and is passionate about his work and helping to educate the customer; the company is easy to schedule with and their customer service rep is friendly. Cons: the pricing is unpredictable and not based in anything concrete (such as $/hr or $/type of job, etc.). On one occasion, techs were at my house for the better part of a day diagnosing a major leak problem. They charged me a few hundred. They had to come back another day to do all the repair which cost around 1k. On another occasion, the company replaced my water tank/switch and the sacrificial rod from my electric water heater. This cost roughly 1k (w/tank+parts included). On another occasion, a tech had to unclog a tree-root blockage leading out to my septic. Charged a few hundred. Same problem occurred again, and next charge was $100. I recently had the company come out to properly install my shower hardware (spout, head, panel, etc.). 2 hours of work, charge was a whopping $514 (or 257/hr). Overall, I like this company, but I get the impression that pricing is off the top of their head in the moment, depending on what they think a customer might pay. I have since asked them to explain to me how 2 hours of relatively simple work gets estimated at $514, but I am awaiting a response. Again, I like the people and the skill level, and am happy to amend my review once I hear back.

Friends and neighbors warned me that this company was expensive and might try to up-sell me. A tech came out to see about re-connecting my furnace duct work. He proceeded to find fault with my 15+ year old furnace, oil tank, ducts, electrical system and more. He offered me the option of three completely new heating systems for between $10K - $15K. I thanked him for his time and proceeded to call my oil company who connected me with a man who came out and did the work I requested for under $1K. My oil co also came out, checked my furnace, replaced a part and some of the ducts and charged me $105 for parts, $0 for labor. My "bad" furnace is now running at just 1.5% efficiency below a brand new one and should be good for many more years to come. This was my experience. Yours may be different. Buyer beware.

What a nice crew. We had ML&S come out and give estimate. The office was easy to work with. Needed certain days, and very accommodating. Didn't feel rushed as with other companies I had called to get est. I gave them the job. They ran pipes for natural gas switch from oil. We had to wait to finish the job for furnace; not cheap to switch over. We called them back when the time was right. Happily, the second crew was just as nice as the first 8mths earlier. Clean, & organized crew. I have little kids, they didn't curse and talk inappropriately. My basement was far from perfect and they rolled with it. Very respectful. Whatever this company does & who they hire shows it was done correctly. The job itself was nicely done. My pervious home had a new furnace installed from a different company. It was awful. Gaps, & never taped ducts, fittings were off. Needless to say, that company did crappy work. ML&S did a great job. They taped all the work like it should be; Not just the new section they installed. They went the extra mile. They worked on the ac as well. Hooked that up. The tin work was cut perfectly w/o gaps. They ran the water pump hose thing, nice and neat. Up and off the floor. Secured it to the wall and sink too. It's like night and day between ML&S and the other company I had. My new furnace works great and haven't had issues in a little over a year. Can't say that about my other house.
