Probably the slowest, shittiest, and worst hospital I've been to. My boyfriend and I went to the ER just to wait for 3 and a half almost 4 hours for them to take 3 tests just to tell him nothing was wrong with his stomach. Each test they took we waited 1 hour for each result. Do not go to the ER. The front desk lady is one of the rudest people I've encountered, she was no help and treated us with the upmost disrespect. When my boyfriend was hungry they gave him 6 crackers and then waited another hour just to come back and say he needed a scan. We waited 4 hours just for them to tell us nothing was wrong with him.

I grew up in Calaveras County along with most of my family. This is hands down the worst hospital in the area. They are well known for giving poor, slow and service greatly lacking in compassion. They have slightly improved since Dignity Health took over, but they still have much work to do. After a visit to the ER yesterday, 6/23/17, I waited almost 5 hours to be seen by a counselor. The doctor that visited me was arrogant and condescending and does not belong in that line of work. I'm aware of how jaded ER doctors get, my mother has worked in the medical field for 20 years including the ER. My mother is currently employed by Adventist Health/Sonora Regional Medical Center (or SRMC for short). The nurse that assisted with discharge, this nurse discovered where my mother works and proceeded to tell my mother that SRMC stands for Second Rate Medical Center. We were appalled at how disgustingly unprofessional this woman was acting. Mark Twain has long since been the lowest rated hospital with some of the worst service. This woman should be fired.

This is the worst hospital and staff I have ever dealt with. When you ask how much longer it will be before you are seen during an appointment, you are told we have other patients to deal with. They send you for tests xrays etc, get the info and the file goes into your records, yet, no one reads them. Instead, they send you back for more tests.

The main part of the hospital is fine the ER part is not. They FORGOT about me while I was trying to get seen for my Diverticulitis flare up. They didn't offer me any help. They treated me like a junkie when I first went in. Would not recommend the ER. Go to Jackson for your ER needs.

My youngest brother was bit by a sunk and the E.R didn't know what to do. We had to go to Dameron hospital. Where he got prompt and fast care...
