There are many reasons to love Market Basket. Good prices on most food items, almost always better than the competition, is #1. Mostly and consistently friendly service, with varying levels of knowledge and competence. This store is clean, but because companies have to pay for their product placement, some items are stocked in weird places.

My biggest complaint is the baggers and even the cashiers try to squish all the chips and squishy things into one bag. Its bad enough a third of the bag is already broken but when they do it right in front of you then you know they need more training. Otherwise the workers are pleasant and you can get in and out in a timely manner.

Great selection  and prices.. Always see friendly staff who it is obvious like working there. Great prepared food. AWESOME BAKERY. Over all feels like the old time grocery store.

This place is always busy and the parking lot is like a crash derby. The one thing that always bugs me is the fact that hand carts are treated like a lost treasure here. In order to get a hand cart you need to either go into the center of the building or search st each register until you get lucky.

Are the hand carts lined with gold? Do people actually steal them? Every grocery store on Earth has hand carts at the front doors.

Also, this may be the only grocery store where they keep stuff like stuffing mix in the frozen food section. Need stuffing with your pork chops? No, you won’t find them in an isle that makes sense. Work your dinner off by walking through the store until you randomly find them with the frozen foods.
