For over a decade I have been a huge supporter and frequent customer.   Since the opening of this Rochester super store, I am repeatedly disappointed.  In particular the meat department is poor at best and would give negative stars.  We have bought kabobs,  and marinated meat from the butcher counter, flavorless and overprice.  The quality of the beef is not up to most other market basket stores.  Recently bought 4 strip steaks, 2 different meals.  Cooked med rare to medium the first 2 were tough, dry, and no flavor.   Round 2, marinated and basically same results.  Marinade at least added flavor to the shoe leather.  Better meat at Walmart, and I bought meat there out of spite and test my theory.  Produce section is inconsistent.  The 2 stars is for the staff.

I am very disappointed.  I spent 13 dollars on a steak and the marinated it for 3 days. It was like eating rubber. It was so dry. I actually bought 2 steaks at around 10-15$ and both were so dry I couldn't eat it. It's frustrating that the website says the beef meets a standard and is tender.  This definitely was not tender nor was it really editable.  Now there are two places I will not by beef from, Walmart and market basket.

This is my favorite grocery store. They are helpful and very friendly at the checkout. Closest environment to 'the good ole days'. It may be an old store but it's always clean. Prices are always cheaper too. I don't shop anywhere else anymore

Always like going to this store, but the lack of employees to ask for help, and the REALLY small frozen food section, is a bit of a bummer. They do carry some things you don't always see other places, and their coffee creamer selection outshines any other supermarket I've been to, including Walmart. The cashiers are friendly, and quick as well.

The negative reasons above, are why they get 4 out of 5 stars.

We just left my.there still have the best prices.cant match Shaw's or Hannafords.there out ragers.market basket any day.if you want to save money.
