This was my first time staying in a Marriott. The front desk was very helpful. My initial room smelled musty and like a cave. So much so I got a migraine. I asked the front desk if there was a chance if there was any way I could just change to a room that didn't smell that way. They upgraded my room complimentary. They made it a very pleasant stay.

Typical Marriottt....clean and comfortable room. Ample TV channels. Breakfast buffet on the weekend had the staples (scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, etc) but no fresh egg/omelet station. Hotel is convenient to concerts at River Spirit casino.

I was visiting a guest at the Marriott and was there only an hour and 10 min. My car was broken into and ransacked and trunk emptied. This took some time and no one saw no security guard on site and no cameras in parking lot. No way to catch or stop thieves. It's supposed to be an upscale hotel and anyone who parks in their lot is at risk.

My friend and I bought the cheapest available hotel for our birthday party, and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel provides free shuttles to the casino, airport, and restaurants. There's also a lot of great places nearby. There's a pool that's pretty great.

Booked online through Marriott’s site - specifically a double room, because it was for two adults and two children. When we arrived (after a two hour drive), we were told we had a King bed, they were “completely booked” and there was “nothing they could do”. If the generous woman next to me handn’t offered to switch rooms, we would have had to share a bed with no offer of restitution! It was upsetting to be treated as if it was somehow my error and not a mistake made by the hotel. When we went to the pool, there were no towels, and when I picked up the buttonless phone next to the entrance (noticing afterward that it was for emergencies only), there was only a dial tone - no operator to be found. The other guests in our group had a worse time than we did: Two adult dance moms with three children between them, were given the same King room story, but with no help from a kind stranger. The booking party’s Rewards account was then flagged because she was unhappy about getting screwed! What happened to customer service???
