The food is solid, the people are great & the next time you need to go somewhere where pop standards are being played in Czech (I'm guessing, could be some other Eastern European language) this is the spot!

We arrived at 5:15 on a Friday evening and the place was about 65% full.  I was with a party of four and we all looking forward to a nice fish dinner for Lent.  Two tables had food and another five tables were waiting.for service. There appeared to be only one woman working and she did not aknowlege any of the tables with a menu or to take a drink order. Several times she hollered out that she was the only one working. Apparently she was the waitress, the bar maid and the cook. Others at the tables arround us looked at each other with disbeliefe. . After 45 minutes of no service we decided to leave and visit anothe Bar/restauranr two doors away. We went to Skinny's and received instand drinks and a menu and enjoyed the rest of the evening. The other four tables followed us out and also went to Skinny.s.  We made some new friends and laughted about our experience at Marta''s while enjoying a great fish fry next door. One of the couples said she heard the waitress say that they had run out of fish..

The tables that had food appeared to enjoy their meals but we were never given the opportunity to even order or have a drink

Loved it the first time we went.  Disappointed the next.  Perhaps it was my choice for dinner.  Best to stick with the Czech specialities.  Wonderful owner!

If you are looking for a Czech cuisine, look no further. Marta is a Czech immigrant with a lot of skill in the kitchen, as well as serving her customers. The restaurant has a rustic and welcoming atmosphere
