We had the best time with our giant golden doodle. We met Maggie Mae, his cochere spaniel. We were there for hours playing with 8 different dogs. It was the dream date. For our lady and the tramp, love affair. I highly recommend this park. It has benches. No dog bags and or water. It's a giant sand pit. Bear loved it so 5
I was surprised seeing a big park with skate park, playgrounds, public restrooms, and an all enclosure dog park which has sand mostly. DO bring your own water !! Big place to fetch and play with other dogs. There’s walking trails around the area and sports fields . Residents surround the dog park area and trail paths , their dogs forlorn watching dogs play. It pulls on the heartstrings.
A 28.76-acre property just north of Martha Lake and east of I-5. Park amenities include picnic shelter, youth softball field, soccer field, skate park, off-leash dog area OLDA, outdoor art exhibits and restrooms. The restroom is winterized and closed November-March. The big rock in the park has its own history. The history of the park is :The Ed Hauter family ran a small airport on the land from the late 1950s to the late 1990s. At one point the facility hosted about 80 aircraft at its hangars and tie-down spots. The Hauter family sold most of its property to Snohomish County in 2000 passing up higher offers from developers who could have built more than 100 homes. Park construction began in early 2009.
Martha Lake Airport park has so many cool things to do! There really is something for everyone. There are trails for cyclists, and a large dog park for your furry friends. As well as 2 large fenced off sports fields that are well-maintained - one grass field for soccer, football, volleyball, etc... and one high-fence baseball & softball field. Next to the baseball field there's a big toy, and nice playground equipment for your littles... and right next to that is the bathroom! Suffice it to this park is well-designed. Lol! ***As of this writing 8/2020, the bathrooms are closed due to COVID19, but eventually they'll reopen. For now, there are a few Porta-potties near the bathrooms. I'm not sure how that makes it better as nobody can wash their hands, but that's the situation. Bring your own sanitizer.*** And then you have the skate park, covered area, and glacial boulder. It's a really great space. I see bikes there, and skateboards, tons of scooters, and sometimes rollerblading. Really anything that rolls goes! As for age-range, I see kids from about age 3 - 30 out there skating! And it's a fun time for all. Bring your helmet, and your bottled water, and get ready to have a fun time! People usually watch out for each other, and especially for the littles... but it is a majority teenage hang-out. You might hear some occasional swearing - no biggie. Parking is free and adequate. Opens at dawn, closes at dusk.
The dog park is far from the parking area. There is no water source. No poop bags or dumping receptacle within reach of the park. All deep sand . No agility area. No places to sit. Nice fencing and large open area. No grass
Our go-to park for a nice walk with the kiddos. Also love the dog park. All dogs we've met have been nice and it's sand so they don't get muddy. On hot days there is no shade so you have to leave the enclosure for some shade breaks if you stay long.
It's a great park. Awesome on sunny days. There is so much to do for everyone here. There is a good skatepark inside it which engages children and adults. A huge rock to climb is the highlight of this park. There is a small children's play area too. Other than this there is a big off leash park for dogs and a nice walking area with small pond too.
One of the terrible dog parks I’ve ever been to. There’s poop every corner. The soil is so bad, absolutely no access to water/ bowl in the park and broken seats that must’ve been installed in the 90s.
All sand so it won’t get muddy. Lots of energetic dogs. Wide open area seems to promote chasing. Good place for dogs to burn off energy.
First time here, and I found it very nice that my dog Freya wore herself out running around with the other dogs. Mostly sand, so no mud Will be ba k again.
