I made an appointment last week for my dog's eye to be seen. I called this morning to confirm the appointment. My husband arranged his schedule to be able to go with me to assist with our 4 children and the dog. We arrived 10 minutes late and waited in a smelly lobby for a few minutes before someone sauntered into the office to (not so nicely) greet us. I was rudely informed that they have a policy of a 3-4 minute window to meet appointments and they would not see my dog today. (I fully understand the standard 10 or 15 minute policy and fell within the standard time bracket.) There was no budging and I was even told that next time I had better be there on time. There will not be a next time. I never met the vet so cannot speak to his care. My review is based on the rudeness of the receptionist, their unspoken time policy, and their inability to accommodate me despite me having called ahead.

They have always been there for me through many, many animals and years. They have a wonderful manner with the animals... you can tell they really care.

2yrs ago my fur baby was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. The lady veterinarian (Dr. Rankin) was so impersonal and seemed more concerned with being right about her diagnosis than the fact that my dog was sick. Not to bore anyone with details but overall she was horrible. I requested the male vet (Dr. Sauble) to do the euthanasia because she probably would have enjoyed it too much. Dr. Sauble saved my opinion of the facility because he has such a caring soul. I'm glad my dog's last experience was done in the most respectful way. My dogs would follow him around the room whereas they wanted nothing to do with the woman veterinarian. Thank God Dr. Rankin is no longer there or else I'd switch vets.

My neighbor passed away and i rescued his cat from the Berkeley county humain society.i know he has been taking his cats to this animal hospital since he moved to wv. These people were so rude to me when i tried to retrieved the cat's medical records. They told me they had records of the cat's sister that was put down but nothing on her. And they even got rude with and asked me why i needed them so badly. I explained to them that i currently have cats and don't want to possibly expose my cats to FIV or rabies. 
They told me they would be happy to check the cat but if she bites anyone they would have put her down and cut her head off to have it checked for rabies. REALLY!?!? I'm trying to do the right thing and save this poor girl from being put down at the humain society, why would i let them touch her after that? If I'm going to take her anywhere it will be Spring Mills Animal Hospital. They have been so nice to us and our cat who has diabetes. Their staff is amazing and treat us like family.
