After many months of telling myself to pay this place a visit, I am so glad I finally did today for the first time. It is such a well kept and well maintained hidden gem. I had some lunch with my son at the picnic tables. Afterward we went for a nice walk and sat by the pond. It is truly so peaceful, so relaxing and perfectly shaded with trees. My son, who is 4 years old and hyperactive, even sat down and enjoyed the scenery of the cute turtles and ducks. Will be coming back again very soon ( with a blanket and a book in tow).

I love the nature center, it's like a hidden gem in the city, where you would least expect to find beautiful hills, tree's every where and a pond with duck, geese, turtles ect... especially if your looking for a beautiful, quiet place to get away from all the noise, or even just to take the family on a nice evening summer night; Mary vagel nature center is the place to go!

great small park to just enjoy the morning.  I picked up some coffee and sweet bread and we sat in the picnic areas.

Great place to go and relax with the family. People working their are friendly and enjoy their work. Definitely one of my favorite places to go on the weekends.
