Troopers stationed at the Maryland State Police, Salisbury Barrack, serve over 101,000 residents who reside within the jurisdictional boundaries of Wicomico County. The county is comprised of 400 square miles with the major routes of US Route 50 and US Route 13 intersect in Salisbury, the largest city in Wicomico County. Troopers aggressively patrol the county in a relentless effort to reduce crime and crashes, deter and arrest DUI offenders with an overall goal of keeping everyone safe whether you are just traveling through or if you are one of the over 101,000 who permanently live in Wicomico County.
The mission of the Maryland State Police is to serve the people of Maryland and those who visit our State through purposed policing that protects all citizens, prevents criminal acts and traffic crashes, and provides the highest quality of law enforcement services available anywhere. This will be accomplished through a network of local barracks and specialized divisions working in consultation and cooperation with allied public safety agencies to address issues impacting public safety in Maryland and each jurisdiction through an inter-jurisdictional strategy.
