بسم الله Okay let me be objective. If you want to see an abundance of black muslims in the city of Chicago, then this is the place for you. If you want to pray in a clean, beautiful & well kept mosque then this is the place for you. If you want your children to learn the Qu'ran then this is the place for you. HOWEVER, if you want to learn about the correct methodology of the Salaf-us-Salih, then avoid this place............ Fast. Leadership are in reality Shi'a. Also from time to time you will hear derogatory statements from relatives of leadership defame famous companions like Abu Huraira. They also have alliances with the Mosque the Shi'a are planning on opening on the Southwest side of the city. Visit "Dar-ut-Tawheed" on the Northside or "Masjid At-Tawheed" on the Southside for the correct methodology of Islam.

Great place to pray, this is the mosque that the Boxer, Muhammad Ali commissioned to be built. It is constructed in the Islamic tradition with some modern-day features, like air conditioning. It has some OffStreet parking, wheelchair ramp, handicap parking, BUT, it is not really easily accessible by wheelchair. the ramp to access the prayer area is on the back of the building, and is usually locked. so use the front ramp to let the caretaker know you want to come in with a wheelchair, then exit the front and go to the rear and look for the ramp back there. that is how to get in to pray in wheel chair. Once you have done that the caretaker can give you his phone number to call and he will then unlock the door before you arrive on the day you call for it. As for non muslims attending, there are special events open to all, but this caretaker does not like for non muslims to be inside during daily prayers, for security reasons. As when it was allowed there were incidents that disrupted the prayers and vandalism to the interiors of the building. So your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

alhamdulialh I was lucky to know this place and have seen the light living being inside. blessed for this great work , that gathered people from every corners of earth in such small place in peace and harmony.
