I never prayed in a mosque where those leading the prayer make so many mistakes during the recitation. It is quite disappointing to have to witness the level of utter disrespect towards the Word of God, especially when it occurs during the congregational prayer. The holy Quran is worthy of, and due the utmost respect which we are far from giving. During one occasion, had the imam recited a bit slower, I could have corrected him, which compounds the already serious problem. It makes me question the intention of the one leading the prayer. Its apparent that most of us have the slightest idea what it truly means to lead Muslims in prayer. It's becoming a popularity contest, a contest that MIGHT give recognition in this world but definitely humiliate in the next. Lest we forget that salah, if not intended purely for Allah, is thrown back at us from Allah. We're fooling none other than ourselves. الصلاة عماد الدين. "The prayer is the back-bone of the religion" pbuh. So if the prayer is broken than how can the religion function. . ? How can we better our lives individually and collectively? حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل

Great mosque. I believe it was funded the local Arab community (lawyers, engineers, doctors). Best place to eat for free during Ramadan.

Assalamuilakum Brothers and sisters in Islam. This is a beautiful masjid in Harvey NO. I stopped between duhr and asr to pray while traveling. Nicest, cleanest, peaceful masjid I've been in.
