Legend is before this building became a masjid and after the original bank went bankrupt, this was a nightclub that had to close because of stabbings/a murder. No one wanted to buy the property until someone decided to turn it into a masjid. 

My friend and I (both 20-something girls) learned this during a random visit at an odd time between jummah and asr, when the masjid was almost empty. The few brothers we did run into there were very friendly and helpful. 

Sisters section is upstairs. It's pretty messy and the stairs are gross.

Good place for Friday prayer right off light rail stop. For some reason, can only find if googling "masjid" but not "mosque"

Former bank converted to a masjid. So the exterior is a really nice brick and stone building with a brilliant entrance. The prayer area inside is big, nice and clean. There's still space inside that needs to be renovated. The bathrooms need to be updated as well but were clean and functional.
