Massimino's
"Massimino's is a local spot where you eat like you were back in Italy. A Mediterranean menu, that works withhold pressed olive oils, hand made pasta and the best cuts of meats. Our seafoods all hand selected. The wines that accompany our menu are amazing, working with smaller vineyards from italy. Come and enjoy what the North End is really like. Buon Appetito."

Food was amazing. Tried the eggplant appetizer on the server's recommendation and wow. Also tried the stuffed rack of lamb special, also one the server's recommendation and definitely second his recommendation. I might actually start a fight over that.Food: 5/5
Me and My Bf were visiting the area and we wanted to go for some Italian food . The food and service was exceptional. Our waiter was extremely kind and took good care of us. There is a waiting period so it’s good to make reservations and wait inside the restaurant so you can get seated. We got fried burrata, cacao de Pepe, the steak and stuffed lobster, their bread and butter is really good too we also got the lobster and ravioli. The restaurant is worth trying and going. Definitely going back there the next time we go to visit.
Came here off a random chance and a google search. Didn’t have a reservation and it was a game night and they still managed to squeeze us in. Experience was overall great. First served bread with really good oil. You have to order Nanas meatball - our group doesn’t even like meatballs and we were extremely impressed with this. For our main dishes we order a dish on special with a vodka sauce and scallops/shrimp. This had the best scallops we have ever tried. Next we ordered the lobster ravioli which had really nice portions of lobster. We also order shrimp scampi and gnocchi. Overall really liked everything we had and definitely would not hesitate to come back. Small and cute atmosphere and nice and friendly staff.
Barely got any attention from our server. Pasta sauce was watery and separating, and tasted re-heated like a microwave was used. The drinks were good. Very close and tightly packed seating-wise.Food: 1/5
Last night dining in was our very first time, and it most certainly won't be our last. We came in for our anniversary and had Debbie as our server. She was kind & attentive, helping us celebrate our anniversary with a surprise dessert. The food was amazing. We had the bruschetta to start, followed by the gnocchi bolognese and the lasagna. Being born & raised in Italy, it was nice to eat somewhere where the food especially the sauce tasted authentic and reminded me of home. My husband doesn't like tiramisu but actually ate and enjoyed it here!! Although the restaurant is small, I highly recommend making a reservation and checking out this gem.
After reading some of the great reviews we decided to give Massimino’s a try. It did not disappoint. My 10 year old decided to go out of her comfort zone with the Chicken and Sausage with red peppers. She absolutely loved it. My middle son, the pasta eater in the family, was absolutely in heaven with his chicken and broccoli alfredo. For starters we ordered antipasto and mixed greens that came on a charcuterie board as well as a meatball the meatball is from another planet. It was soooo good…in fact we ordered an additional one to go. I had the lasagna and my oldest had ravioli with mixed vegetables. The service was prompt and our server was super nice as well as the owner/manager who checked in on us. The space was intimate and patio seating is available in good weather. I have not had Italian food as good as Massimino’s. The last great Italian we had was in New York City and Massimino’s beats that hands down. Not even close. At $20-30 a plate you get SOOOO much food that you can have two meals. We had our leftovers for dinner! You will not be disappointed! You will be glad you went.
Food was good, but our server barely talked to us, and immediately brought our check after clearing our plates had only been there 45 minutes and had 1 drink a person. We said we’d like to see a dessert menu and she said sorry no dessert tonight. Then seconds later, another server says to the table next to use “would you like any desserts or more drinks?” and then the kitchen sends out 2 chocolate cakes to a different table. Not sure why we were lied to about dessert and rushed out when we had a reservation and were there less than an hour.
Food is amazing and service is friendly. Owners are super nice. The red sauce is amazing. Everyone I went with loved their meals. Get the giant meatball, you won’t regret it!
We had reservations for 9pm on NYE but had to wait 30 minutes to get sat. Inconvenient but understandable. The host then brought us downstairs and gave us menus but after 5 minutes, we were told we got seated by mistake as there was another group in front of us and had to get up. Then the gentleman rudely started to collect the menus from us and had us wait at the small bar downstairs. We were confused and didn’t know when we were going to get seated so we got shots at the bar. After getting seated the second time, we wanted to order drinks but our waitress told us her manager said we could only order drinks ‘maybe later’ after getting food. We weren’t rowdy to get cut off, and we only got the shots because we were forced to go to the bar. Ridiculous. Food was decent but not worth the service.
One of my favorite places. Great sauce and great entrees. Service is spectacular and they are very accommodating. Reservations is a huge plus!Food: 5/5
