I absolutely love this Italian Deli. These are the only Italian subs/ Cannolis/pasta you should buy in this zip code and surrounding. The service is excellent, it is always clean and smells amazing. Everyone that works here is nice knowledgeable and helpful. Has wine, beer and plenty of Italian grocery staples.Food: 5/5

Sandwiches are amazing and the Italian food and wine is excellent for high quality staples. Sandwiches do take a long time to make and there are no options to order online in advance.  Additionally they frequently take the phone off the hook goes straight to voicemail so they don’t allow advance orders by any mechanism.Food: 5/5

Needed real Italian bread for dinner with the in-laws. Grabbed lunch too. The meatball subs, with homemade mozzarella,  were huge 2 of us could have shared it. The eggplant was tender on the eggplant sub. Lots of goodies, wine, pasta. Definitely a new favorite spot.

We have loved this place since we moved here 19 years ago. I’ve recently been using them for events. Everyone is so knowledgeable and kind. The fresh bread and home made sausage is fabulous and it’s literally the only place I’ve been able to find nduja.Food: 5/5

Ordered 2 subs and the tiramisu. The Italian cold cut is very thin on the meat and bland, but the meatball sub was quite tasty. And the tiramisu was good as well.Food: 3/5

Mastellone is a litter treasure right within the city. I have always preferred smaller, non-corporate retail businesses and Mastellone doesn’t not disappoint. Fantastic! I lived in Baltimore for one year in 1980! We were Truesdell’s very good friends and they loved Mastellone , one of the best italian deli in town.

I'm an American turkish cypriot who grew up on cultural foods and traditions and always missing and yearning for shops that can somewhat bring me back home. When I walked in mastellone, I was overwhelmed with such joy that I didn't know where to look first. I feel very lucky and pleased to learn about this shop and definitely recommend this market to any customer but especially to those who miss their markets back at home!
