We had a great experience here. The service is the best we've come across in the Houston area. I ordered the clam chowder that was way too salty to eat, but they took it off my bill, and my steak was ordered medium rare, and it came out well done but the waiter replaced it with one that was cooked perfectly. The place is a little loud and the tables are pretty close together but we were there on a Friday night. Overall, this was a wonderful experience that I would recommend for a special night.

I can not begin to say enough about how amazing this restaurant is. They take as great of care with your beer as they do their amazing food! The seafood was by far the best I have ever had. The shrimp so large, east coast oysters, and the crab mouth watering. The sushi was so flavorful and tender. The tomatosaladso so sweet. And last but not least the sides all amazing! Asparagus on point and the scalloped potatoes amazing. The steak seasoned and cooked to perfection, mouth watering. Amazing staff and even more amazing attention to all the finer details throughout service. Highly impressed.

This is a really beautiful restaurant to go to. We went to celebrate the 80th birthday of my beautiful mother Jo. The waiter was Lucas and he knows his stuff.  When he was giving us a quick lesson in all the dishes I could just see in my mind all the flavors. All I have to say is Mastro you brought it.Food: 5/5

My family and I came here to celebrate my daughter in law’s birthday and it was an amazing experience. We originally tried to make reservations at another restaurant who said they could not accommodate a party of 10. It ended up being a blessing in disguise since we discovered this gem. The wine selection and food was amazing. The staff was attentive and made our experience memorable. This will definitely be a place we come back to again.

Always great service and tasty food here. One of the things I love about Mastro's is that the steak is cooked perfectly and also season very well it's not a bland steak and they cook it to perfection. Lobster mac and cheese and king crab fried rice is definitely a winner when it comes to sides. Also if you get the opportunity add a few of the jumbo massive prawns to your order you won't regret it.

ROACH.  This is my first time leaving a negative review for any restaurant. My husband and I visited the restaurant today to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Halfway through the meal a ROACH is visibly running around our table. The server happened to pass by and I let him know. He was kind enough to get it off the table and kill it. Of course we couldn’t finish our meal because we were disgusted. You would think the manager would come over and offer to have the establishment cover our whole meal. But no, she stated they’d cover the SIDES. As much revenue as this restaurant makes a night, you’d think they would’ve done the right thing immediately and not charged us. It wasn’t until we were driving home that the manager called and offered to refund us for what we paid, which was about $150 or so.  Our server and the valet were great. Management clearly needs some help in the customer service department.  We will not be returning.

We had our New Year’s Eve dinner there. My daughters and I were very disappointed at the service. It was obvious that the waitress, Audra, was unhappy with us not ordering drinks we just don’t drink alcohol.. She showed her attitude from the start. While the plates were cleared off by a busboy, no one scraped the food bits on the table. By the time we had desserts, the table was quite dirty. She simply ignored it. My daughter asked for a dessert menu after we finished entrees. The waitress never came back with them. We had to ask a busboy. She gave us the tab right after the desserts were brought out and before we even asked for it. Then she took the tab away while we were still having the desserts. We do not go there often, but we were treated much better. So I am not sure if this was one off and specific to this waitress. We still left a 18% tip considering it was NYE, despite I wanted to make a point by leaving her much less. I have to say that Tris’ service is consistently better.

Edit: came back on a Saturday night, it was 100% better. Rigo was the one who helped us out and he damn near made the whole visit amazing! The food was much better and the drinks were on point. We will definitely go back  The restaurant itself was beautiful. The staff was nice and very helpful. For food we only ordered the Hamachi and had to send it back cause the truffle oil was extremely overpowering. I want to give this place another shot. Went in on a Sunday and I felt very underage....... I'm 39 so I want to try it again on maybe a Friday or Saturday.
