Lots of beach to explore. Not the cleanest place but the park is pretty good. Has showers. Nice pier. Swimming is somewhat dangerous for people and dogs. Relatively remote. One has to go far down the beach to get away from people if you want to enjoy some solitude. 4x4 is necessary for driving  as beaches have soft sand in places.

Great times, wonderful experience. Only issue is deep sandy roads, as long as your careful though, you'll be fine! Probably have to walk some to get close to water, but IT IS WORTH IT! We swam, fished, and camped for 2 days and 2 nights! Great weekend out of the house!

This place is beautiful. Don't get me wrong it has some trash on dunes but if you have been to North Padre or Galveston free beach access areas this is the nicest of them IMHO. Shelling is great, nice sundial's and angel wings, not as good as Big Shell North Padre but the peaceful feeling was great. 4 Wheel drive helps out after 4 miles down the beach.

It's a beautiful beach but PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THE RATTLE SNAKES!!
