Our Chicago, Northshore, and Lake County estate planning lawyers draft custom documents and advise clients about wills, powers of attorney for health care and durable powers of attorney for property, and revocable trust. When a person dies, if you inherit assets that require probate, our probate attorneys will make the probate process as painless as possible. Our lawyers are in probate court on a regular basis and strive to protect the probate estate from unnecessary drain. Post-Death Trust Administration refers to the process of administrating the trust estate of a decedent, which generally includes collecting, inventorying and appraising assets; paying and collecting debts; filing and paying estate taxes; and distributing any remaining assets to beneficiaries.
